Nature and the surveying of the world

For the Mercure Hotel Berlin City, the rich content of the nearby natural history museum has been used to provide the central theme to unify the design of the breakfast lobby, guest rooms and the already existing lobby and bar.
In the public areas, preexisting elements of the interior design have been used and redesigned for this purpose.

Different furnishing zones and textile room dividers offer the possibility to use the space of the breakfast lobby as additional space for meetings or an evening‘s celebration at other times.

Scientifically oriented sketches and drawings of nature as well as naturalistic, floral forms and motives express the central theme.

The guest rooms‘ floor plan has been optimized. The urban realization of the theme can be found in the wall and floor designs, supported by brand specific specialties.
