Design inspired by education, language and open company culture
Five floors of a completely refurbished building were turned into a new working environment for the publishing house PONS. The young and progressive company philosophy is reflected in a vibrant color concept. In addition to various shades of the CI colors green and blue, we also employed the colors orange and red of the parent company Klett Group.
The attic houses conference rooms in the north wing. The west wing accommodates a large recreation area with a terrace. Together with the integrated showroom it can also be used for presentations.
Apart from accommodating the classic meeting rooms, the new office floors have also been designed to provide space for encounters, creative dialogues and casual meetings.
To achieve bright and well-lit work spaces, continuous glass walls were designed to partition the offices off the hallway. These offices accommodate one to three workstations. This scheme emphasizes the uniqueness of the building, the exposure to day light on both sides, whilst also expressing the concept of an open company culture.
The glass walls are covered with an exclusively developed graphic design to visualize what the company stands for.
In order to represent the Klett Group’s textbooks and study guides we selected the alphabet that is used in primary school to teach handwriting.
For the language professional PONS we employed typical national emblems that correspond to some of the languages of the portfolio.
