Black Forest 2.0
contemporary and conscious of tradition – no contradiction
In the Holiday Inn Hotel in Villingen-Schwenningen, local history and regional features merge with contemporary design.
The programmatic idea of the “Black Forest“ is being translated into interior design.
From the ceiling design of the bar, the room dividers reminiscent of wrought-iron elements of traditional architecture, next to an abstract version of a cuckoo clock, to the striking photograph of a traditional costume: local and unique elements of craftsmanship and fashion lend themselves to this endeavor.
The appealing embeddedness in the inviting open-lobby-concept and other brand specific basics create a particular charm, potentially uniting globetrotters and locals equally.
„Forest is more than the sum of the trees.“ | Horst Stern |
