A journey to the world of fashion

The Mercure Hotel “Bristol” in Sindelfingen tells its guests the lively story and takes them on a trip to the beginnings of the glamorous world of fashion.

Guests delve into the limelight of haute couture straight at the entrance of the hotel and find themselves on the catwalk in the lobby. This is where the road begins, at the center of public interest.

The bar embodies backstage and a first look behind the curtains.

Rising through the building, one approaches thematically the creative beginnings of production.

On the floors containing the guest rooms, one finds oneself in artists‘ studios in which ideas are brought to reality, in which drawing and tailoring take place.

The four floors each have a unique color scheme, which, as fashion itself, follow the seasons.

The peace of the guest rooms offer the artist‘s retreat, the „genius loci“, place of the creative mind, where in quietness and relaxation far from the flashing lights of the catwalk, visions and inspiration can manifest.

„Fashion is what one wears oneself. What is unfashionable is what other people wear.“Oscar Wilde
